Bringing down the ‘Union of Terror’
It would be quite absurd to even to think of the communist soviets model being followed by the same Islamic radicals who fought it with all their might. Marx brought forward the theory and Lenin with his own interpretation of it, united the States into one powerful muscle flexing and totalitarian regime of Soviet Union. Knowingly or unknowingly, the terrorists have set themselves in the same pattern. The theory of the revolution (to counter communism) brought by the Americans themselves has been completely taken on a different track by the Osama bin Laden. Today the Union of Terrorists comprises of war mongrels’ in Africa to the struggles in Western Europe, from the blood thirsty Taliban to the power hungry radicals in Pakistan and Bangladesh, each of them supporting one another for one ideology and acting freely in their own accord under umbrella of religion.
All of us are acquainted with the downfall of the USSR. Most of us would see no reason in this world of information and communication revolution to even ponder on the causes of the downfall of the Soviet Union. I have read watched many documentations regarding the era, especially from my Russian speaking father (a Colonel and scholar in military history). From that gigantic and voluminous pile of different versions comes out a great solution for our present day problem of terrorism.
For five long decades the cold war polarized not only the world but every fabric of soul it contained. Non-Alingment was nothing but a failed attempt to stop it The Americans fought the soviets for so long but actually came triumphed only when the struck at the very roots of the opponent, yes, their ideology. So to defeat terrorism we must make our opponents feel that the very ideology they are sustaining on is baseless and at no point will bring them any closer to their goal. The same way as America used the tactics of free world against the totalitarian we must be united against the caliphs of terror . We must strike where it all begins at the cause, hunger, poverty and destitution. Neither, invasion nor implantation of an acting government will solve the problem. It must happen the same way as it transformed in the Soviet Union, by their own people. No one invaded USSR, no one sent relief materials, no one preached and chartered a map for deployment and removal of forces there. The people of USSR did it themselves they broke the shackles of the False ideology of communism and ushered in the new era of democracy and freedom.
We must notice that the countries hibernating terrorists face the same challenges and problems as the Soviet union faced during its end, we have an opportunity to provide the people of these countries a chance to rebuke the regimes thrust upon them. I understand it would be a time consuming and patience requiring process but it would be an everlasting solution that solves the problem forever.
