Bajaj launched the all new Kawasaki Ninja 250R in India. This was a much awaited bike for all the bike lovers in India as everyone was keen to know what will be its price. The company has set a whooping price of 2,96,150 (ex showroom Mumbai). Most of the bikers were disappointed with such a high price but the features like liquid cooled engine, 6 speed manual gear box and a top speed of 176 kph and the sports bike look will definitely make people buy this machine.

While surfing the net today I came across The ( rumour of ) all new Bajaj Pulsar 350 cc bike. The Motorbeam blog had a post about the upcoming Pulsar 350, andIndian Autos Blog had one on 4th August 2009. For the time being the company hasn’t said much about it. Its happy with the performance of its high end Pulsar 220 cc. I am looking forward for any further news on this. If its true then lets see what will be the price of this bike when it hits the Indian roads.

With the advent of the commonwealth games, the delhi government decided to come up with a new idea and that is a 7 star loo. These loos will be constructed before the commencment of commonwealth games in 2010. These loos will be handed over to certain groups for a period of 20 years. Many companies have already regeistered for it. Besides the regular toilets the complex will also have eating joints and ice cream parlours. For accessing the toilet one will have to pay a fee of 2 rupee. The concept is really great as the company incharge of the loo will maintain the sanity and will look after the hygine conditions of the toilets so that the business of eating joints is not affected. I really like this idea.

The White Tiger by Arvind Adiga, proves to be an extremly well researched and true in most facts (read always). What i did not get was teh base line of the novel. What wasa the driving factor. The urge of the lower class of India to slit their masters throats and becpoem rich or that the want their masters to be morally upright always.

why the hell could BAlram be a simple driver and do his damn job. and if he wanted to be free why the hell couldnt he say “Sir, I quit… i have a weak eye-sight”.

I know there runs a strong underlining concept behind all this story that Mr Arvind tries to capture and narrate brilliantly.
So my advice to readers , the superficial and fast readers please give it a try if you feel like. And the ones who have the capability to understand the bottom lines and the ones in between, it proves to be an eye open… go poke your nose in (or beak … as Mr Adiga would say).

I recentaly came across a very insightful thought , it said “We dont need critics but role models”. I thought it would be very benefecial if i started a series of insparartional incidenst from the lives of great role models. So heer is a true story regarding austerity, probably our political leaders will laern something from it.

Imam Hasan, the son-in-law of Prophet Mohammed was a very sincere and hard working courtier. Once he was working late in the light. It was a time of oil lamps for all the light you needed. He was informed by his assistant that another noble had come to visit him. Imam asked the page to escort the noble in. When the noble arrived. , Imam blew out the lamp and lighted another one right next to it. This amused the visiting noble, but he kept his curiosity to himself. When the meeting got over and the noble was about o leave, he saw thw Imam doing the same again , blowing out the lamp and lighting the other. He could not resist but ask the reason behind it. Imam innocentaly replied that the oil in the first lamp comes from the state treasury and is to be use only when he is running offficial matters for personnel meetings he uses the oil in his personel lamp.

I hope our leaders learn to draw the same line.
